In Japan, tourists and locals are flocking to the parks to enjoy Hanami, or cherry blossom season. Known as “Sakura” in Japanese, the pink and white flowers traditionally symbolise fresh starts and represent the fleeting impermanence of life. Emerald Maxwell tells us more.
