All of Meghan Markle’s ventures ranked from success to failure

If she ever went away, Meghan Markle is back this week with a Netflix documentary that follows her around her new life as a California housewife.
With Love, Meghan shows her shopping, cooking and chatting with her gal pals as she passes on “tips” for viewers – royalty or otherwise.
The reality TV show does not have a lot to follow based on the so-so hit rate of the Duchess’s ventures since leaving the royal family, but at least one critic found it a good watch.
The show reveals that she makes animal bone broth when her children are unwell and that she is such a fan of the Sussex title that she corrects a friend who calls her “Markle”.
Watchers will also learn that she shuns the term “influencer” and instead sees herself as an “entrepreneur and a female founder”.
Well, here is her track record so far.

Having signed a $100 million five-year deal with Netflix in 2021, the couple’s first offering was their most successful to date.
“Importantly, there was also a lot of whining. A lot of whining. It was basically all they did for the entire series. And, honestly, they were great at it.”

The Foundation was set up to “identify immediate needs, build meaningful initiatives, and drive long-term change”.
And it’s difficult to quantify the success but it is, unlike other operations, at least still running.
The project has so far seen the Sussexes hold forums to promote online safety, hold workshops to empower women, and work with trauma-hit families.

The Duchess wrote and released her (first of many?) children’s book in 2021, The Bench, to tell the story of a relationship between a father and son.
Random House Children’s Books sent 2,000 copies to libraries and schools at her request. The reviews were largely praising only Christian Robinson’s illustrations.

With Love, Meghan is a lighthearted lifestyle show and far removed from the fireworks of Harry & Meghan.

The sole output from a $20 million deal with the streaming platform, her podcast Archetypes was shelved after 12 episodes.
The duchess interviewed stars such as Serena Williams and Mariah Carey for the show which ran in 2022 but was not renewed.
The original filing covered cookbooks, table linens, cutlery, jams, jellies, and nut butter, while a broader international filing also included stationery, garden tools, lighting, tote bags, and pet accessories. But none of these went on sale.
